Introduction

Sometimes in life we find that we can no longer run from the hard questions, especially when things don’t make sense and everything seems like a struggle, we don’t know where to turn. The things that have always worked in the past to get you through are no longer helpful and the pain can become overwhelming. Perhaps you’ve found yourself where you’ve never imagined you would be, faced with questions you can’t find answers to and even God seems unreachable. These are the times that a helping hand can bring reassurance and comfort while guiding you through the rough waters.

Redemption Christian Counseling is a safe and confidential place to ask tough questions, to be heard, and to envision hope for the future.

Perhaps you are not experiencing a particularly painful or trying period, but instead have discovered that you long for so much more out of life, your relationship with your spouse, and a deeper, more satisfying relationship with God. Christian Counseling can be an excellent pathway for pursuing personal growth, marital improvement, greater Christian maturity and discovering the story God has uniquely written through your life. Redemption Christian Counseling offers professional mental health counseling within a Biblical framework. However, please know that counseling is available to anyone who is interested regardless of spiritual beliefs or church affiliations.

Therapy

Therapy at Redemption uses clinical psychological training shaped by Biblical principles. It is our calling and responsibility to stay abreast of the latest advances of psychology while simultaneously declaring our convictions about the irrefutable truths of sin and forgiveness. This is a place where you are received with sensitivity and compassion while you are invited to engage in a sincere and genuine relationship with your therapist. We believe that trust is at the core of that relationship, but we must earn that trust through the development of a thoughtful understanding of your life as a unique individual. It is within the context of this confidential relationship that we will join with you as you take the opportunity to wrestle with the hard questions, explore their implications and discover there is hope. Therapy sessions are typically once per week for 50 minutes each. However, to accommodate individual needs and preferences other arrangements can be made.

The duration of therapy for any individual is unique and is influenced by the difficulties and concerns being presented, the timeframe and extent of those problems, and the personality traits and preferences of the individual. The average length of therapy in the United States is six months. However, you are ultimately the only person capable of determining when you have concluded your therapy.

Beliefs

In order to best equip you to find the most appropriate place to meet your counseling needs it is important that you understand how our beliefs will affect your therapeutic process. As our name clearly states, we are a Christian counseling organization. As such, we believe that the Bible is the Word of God through which He has revealed Himself to us. We believe that a relational God has made all human-kind in His image, bestowing dignity and worth upon each individual regardless of past or present choices and circumstances. Inherent in this, is that our human need for relationships both reveals God and is given by God. It is through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus that we can know, at ever deepening levels, the hope, healing and freedom that is available to us. Because of the ultimate victory of Jesus, we are freed to see both the dignity imparted by God on us and the depravity of the sin to which we cling. It is through this insight that God reveals Himself in the story that He has authored in our individual lives and frees us to love and serve others in His Name.

If you have any questions regarding our beliefs or their impact upon the therapeutic process, please contact us and we’ll be happy to answer them.

Fees

It is important to consider the financial impact of making a decision to invest in your future and your health. Fees for counseling are $85 per session. If you have a financial hardship, some needs-based scholarships are available. Please ask your therapist for more information.

Receipts are available which you can submit to your insurance company to be processed for reimbursement through your coverage. However, you are responsible for learning about your insurance company’s policy details and available coverage for out of network providers; also for submitting all receipts to the insurance company.
